              Riding Lessons

Kraus Farms offers Group, Semi-Private and Private riding lessons for English and Western riding disciplines as well as Speed Events. Our students not only learn to be safe and confident riders, they also learn all aspects of horse care, including grooming and tacking. We also host horse shows each year, allowing students to gain valuable ring experience in a fun, relaxed environment. Lessons are available to the General Public as well as boarders at Kraus Farms. You may use your own horse or a lesson horse will be provided at Kraus Farms. Individuals who choose to be evaluated for our lesson program must have the ability to follow and execute oral instructions. Pictures

Rates are as follows:

Public – (monthly charge)

Evaluation Lesson (one time charge) $30.00

1 Hour Group $130 monthly 1/2 Hour Private $150 monthly 1 Hour Semi-Private $170 monthly 1 Hour Private $195 monthly

·Public lessons are required to pay for lessons monthly. Payment is due on the 15th of every month.
 (example- The payment due May 15th is paying for June lessons!)
·SEI certified riding helmets and hard-soled shoes with a heel, must be worn when riding.
·The lesson is once a week for an hour.  This will include tacking and un-tacking.
·If you arrive late to your lesson, your instructor is only obliged to teach you until the scheduled lesson time is over and the lesson fee will not be adjusted.
·Monthly rates cannot be adjusted due to cancellations. Kraus Farms will issue credit at their discretion due to the following closings: holidays, weather, etc.
·If the actual temperature (not windchill) is less than 15 degrees, please check Fox 2 News, KMOX or call the office to verify lesson.
