                   Leasing Program

Kraus Farms, Inc. occasionally has certain lesson horses available for lease. These horses can be leased only by students in our lesson program for the purpose of supplemental riding time outside of scheduled lessons to improve skills . The number of horses available varies according to the demands of the lesson program. The leasing agreement is a 3 month contract, with 8 or 12 hours per month of riding time pre-arranged at the start of the lease. These hours are scheduled on specific days at specific times which must stay consistent throughout the entire 3 month period. At least half of these hours must be scheduled during the week as opposed to the weekend. 

Rules of the Lease
• Individuals must be active in the lesson program.
• Only the individual leasing the horse is allowed to ride the horse outside of a lesson.
• Monthly payment of the lease is due by the 1st of each month. 
• The lease will be terminated if payment not received within 7 days of date due. 
• Riding hours MUST be pre-arranged for the entire 3 month period. 
• SEI approved helmets are mandatory riding apparel. You must provide your own helmet.
• Only certain saddles are available for riding hours outside of a lesson. 
• Kraus Farms, Inc. reserves the right to discontinue any lease agreement at any time with reimbursement. A few examples include: illness/injury to the horse, riding beyond your scheduled hours, undesirable treatment of horse or equipment, failure to return equipment to tack room neatly.
